Cardoso Island is located on the south coast of São Paulo state.The trip from São Paulo to Cananéia by bus takes about four to five hours. To go to Cananéia you have to take Rodovia Régis Bittencourt (br 116) until you arrive there. Then you go to the boat port, to go to Cardoso Island.
The weather in most of the time is hot, but heavy rain can be expected in winter.
The Atlantic rainforest has a big biodiversity of animals, plants, ecosistems, beaches, waterfalls and magroves. You can see a lot of dolphins on the trip from the boat.
On Cardoso Island you can go to relax or to study the forest. You can study a lot of diferent plants and animals.
You can stay in an comfortable hotel in Cananéia. (Golfinho Plaza Hotel). Sometimes you can stay on the island. In Cananéia you can eat in a typical place where the main food is fish. But if you don't like fish, you can eat at a cool pizzaria, where you can eat pizza.
If you go to Cananéia , you should take clothes that can get dirty.
You can take some food because it's a long trip.
The best place you can go is the pizzaria, with only R$ 20,00 you can eat a lot.
You should go to Cardoso Island!!!!
